I feel that there is a direct conflict of interest, with members of council accepting campaign contributions from the professionals who work for Medford Township. The same people get re-appointed year after year, and then kick back to the re-election campaigns of the people who have the responsibilty of reviewing their performance and billing. Why is it that their party accepted $18,000 from township professionals for an uncontested primary election? Why don't the revisions to the ethics code go into effect until after the election? How much more money are they going to accept for the actual election, in order to remain in control of the council? Why did they refuse to sign the same pledge that Mike, John, and I have signed agreeing not to accept campaign contributions from anyone who is retained by our township? What do you think? _________________ Eric M. Spinner, C.N.C.
