This home is located in Mimosa Lakes, a private community in Medford NJ. Mimosa Lakes is a community of 66 homes, surrounding 2 private lakes. Each home is custom built, situated on lots ranging from approximately 3/4 of an acre to over 2 acres.

There is only one entrance to Mimosa Lakes, so the community has very little traffic (only local neighbors coming and going). 3 Pontiac Drive is located towards the southern end of Mimosa Lakes, so you will rarely see cars driving by. In fact, you will often see neighbors from other neighborhoods such as Centennial Lakes or Taunton Lakes walking, jogging or biking around Mimosa Lakes. It is easy to see why.

Because they are close to the headwaters of the Rancocas watershed, Mimosa's lakes are very clean, and free from any chemicals or pollution. Upstream is Wilderness Lake, built after the Pinelands building regulations went into effect. These regulations stipulate that lakefront homes must be at least 300 feet from the water's edge. While this helps to keep the water clean, it means that these homeowners were not able to get a lake view from within their home. Mimosa Lakes, and older communities in Medford were built before the Pinelands regulations went into effect. Lakefront homes in Mimosa Lakes enjoy lake views, and easy access to the lake.
